John Green, An Abundance of Katherines
Those of you who have been following my blog since its inception know that it was originally intended to chronicle my efforts to get over being hopelessly in love with a girl named Katherine.
During my first semester of college, I first became aware of the existence the book An Abundance of Katherines. At the start of the book, the main character, Colin, has just been dumped by his girlfriend, Katherine, and is understandably depressed by it. I could immediately relate, although Colin has had nineteen girlfriends named Katherine when we first meet him, whereas I have had the decidedly less impressive total of zero.
So I ordered the book online. Amazon evidently screwed up the order, because a week later, I instead received a book entitled Shame and Guilt: Characteristics of the Dependency Cycle.
If there is a God, He has one hell of a sense of humor.
